The Swiped Landscapes Series

A monotype is made by applying ink on a unmarked flat surface. Since all the ink is on one level, when put through the press, all the ink comes off. There is nothing left with which to make another print. The larger prints turned into abstract landscapes. Using my favorite colors, I brushed and rolled, pushed and scratched the ink on a piece of smooth plastic. I also put down pieces of tape, cardboard and bits of paper, which would block the ink, leaving the white of the paper showing.
